Brooklyn Dog Park Adds Craft Beer Taproom
Pints & paws
According to reports, a Brooklyn dog park has added a craft beer taproom so owners can sip IPAs while their pups wrestle over tennis balls. The new venue, “Bark & Barley,” serves flights with pun-heavy names like “Pawlsner,” “Tail Ale,” and “Double Dogg IPA.”
Locals are thrilled. “Finally, I can get tipsy while my dachshund judges me,” said one patron. But critics worry drunk dog-owners will forget to pick up poop. “Weve already seen three incidents of IPA spills doubling as fertilizer,” said a parks official.
Dogs themselves are divided. Some lap spilled pilsners enthusiastically, while others glare at bartenders. A Labrador was spotted pawing at the tap, trying to pour his own beerearning a round of applause from the crowd.
TikToks #PintsAndPaws trend shows golden retrievers sitting beside IPA flights. A viral clip captured a bulldog knocking over a stout onto a corgi, who wore it like a foam helmet.
Tabloids poured it on. “ALES GONE TO THE DOGS” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “PAW-BREW.”
Mayor Adams toasted it as “responsible hydration for humans and chaos for canines.” Governor Hochul muttered, “If a pug offers me a porter, Im out.”
