According to reports, wealthy Upper East Siders have hired trainers to turn pigeons into status symbols. Forget Labradoodles—flocks of perfectly choreographed pigeons now accompany residents on Madison Avenue walks.

“My birds only eat organic quinoa,” bragged one socialite. Another demanded her pigeons be dressed in miniature Prada harnesses. Neighbors grumble at the constant cooing, though admit it’s better than hedge funders honking in Range Rovers.

TikTok thrives on #PigeonFlex videos: pigeons spelling out initials in flight or performing synchronized sky dances above Fifth Avenue. Central Park tourists assumed it was a Banksy installation.

Tabloids cooed. “BIRDS OF PAY” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “COO-TURE.”

Mayor Adams called it “pigeon progress.” Governor Hochul sighed, “Only in New York would vermin go luxury.”
