Commuting gets a club remix

The Staten Island Ferry has turned into a floating nightclub. According to reports, a full DJ booth now pumps house beats as commuters try to sip coffee without spilling. By rush hour, the decks blast remixes of “Empire State of Mind” loud enough to drown out the seagulls.

“I missed my stop because the drop was too good,” admitted one dancer in a Mets jersey. Security now hands out glow sticks with life vests. Bartenders serve $18 cocktails in plastic cups that say “Ferry Lit.”

Locals are split. Some love the energy, others just want silence at 7 a.m. TikTok’s #FerryRave trend shows influencers shuffling on deck while someone yells, “WHO ORDERED THE BAGEL?”

Tabloids blasted. “SEA THE BEAT” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “BOAT AND BASS.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “oceanfront nightlife.” Governor Hochul grumbled, “Only in New York could commuting come with cover charges.”
