Queens Inventor Patents Pizza Umbrella

A slice above the rain

According to reports, a Queens tinkerer has created the “Pizza Umbrella,” a personal dome that protects your slice from rain, pigeon poop, and stray scooter deliveries. Shaped like a mini-pizza box with waterproof cheese decals, it folds neatly into a Yankees tote bag.

“Why should my pepperoni suffer?” said the inventor, demonstrating how it also works against falling MetroCard confetti. Local pizza shops have already pre-ordered thousands, and delivery guys call it a “game-changer.”

TikTok’s #DrySliceChallenge shows influencers strutting down Roosevelt Avenue with umbrellas over their pies. One viral clip shows a man shielding his grandma’s cannoli while ignoring her completely.

Tabloids cheered. “SLICE STAYS DRY” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “TOPPING TECH.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “peak ingenuity.” Governor Hochul muttered, “This is what passes for progress?”
