Coney Island Roller Coaster Adds Espresso Bar
Caffeine meets coaster thrills
Coney Island just raised the barliterally. According to reports, the Cyclone now features an onboard espresso bar so riders can sip lattes while screaming at 60 mph. Baristas are trained to pour perfect foam hearts during freefalls.
“Its the best of both worlds: adrenaline and acid reflux,” said one Brooklyn thrill-seeker. Lattes cost $12, though oat milk upgrades are free if you dont spill them on the drop. Cappuccino art often smears mid-loop, leaving passengers with “abstract foam” souvenirs.
Reactions are jittery. “I spilled cold brew in my eyes and it was the best ride ever,” said a Queens tourist. Others worry about safety after reports of macchiatos flying into peoples hair mid-ride. TikTok exploded with #LatteLoop, showing influencers attempting latte art challenges while strapped into coaster seats.
Tabloids perked up. “BREW YORK, BREW YORK” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “LATTE TO THE PARTY.”
Mayor Adams hailed the upgrade as “innovative synergy between caffeine and tourism.” Governor Hochul warned of statewide roller-coaster café copycats, suggesting limits on pumpkin spice during fall season.
For now, Coney Island remains the only place where espresso shots and roller-coaster screams mix seamlessly.
