Bronx Zoo Offers Commuter Safari Pass

Tigers with your MetroCard

According to reports, the Bronx Zoo is now part of your morning commute. For the price of a MetroCard swipe, riders can shortcut through tiger territory and maybe catch a lion before the D train. Late to work? Blame the giraffes crossing Pelham Parkway.

“It’s thrilling,” said one commuter. “I used to wait for the 2 train. Now I ride a zebra to Midtown.” Others note the WiFi is patchy in gorilla country but stronger than on the subway.

TikTok exploded with #SafariCommute. Clips show Wall Street interns sprinting past rhinos in suits, while influencers filmed zebras casually blocking the turnstiles.

Tabloids pounced. “PREDATORS AND COMMUTERS” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “LIONS, TIGERS, FAREBEARS.”

Mayor Adams called it “wild efficiency.” Governor Hochul muttered, “At least the elephants don’t delay like the MTA.”
